Second grade students practice their skills during Percussion Week at Outlook.
Outlook Elementary is one of five elementary schools in the Sunnyside School District. Outlook has over six hundred students from preschool to fifth grade and serves the rural community of Outlook.

If you've read our mission statement, you know that we believe in the whole child, and that in the end, we want to produce productive citizens capable of keeping up with the rapid, ever changing world.

Below you'll find brief descriptions of just some of the many programs that make Outlook . . . Outlook
Our L.E.A.R.N rules are the core of our expectations.

L : Listen and Follow Directions
E : Excellence Always
A: Attitude is Everything
R: Respectful and Responsible Behavior
N: Never Forget Safety
Accelerated Reader has helped our students develop a larger love of reading. This coming year we're developing an even better way to use and celebrate student learning!
Because we believe in the whole child, children at Outlook have an abundance of different opportunities above and beyond the regular curriculum. We offer intramural sports programs in the morning and during lunchtimes. We also have after school opporunities as well. From Early Morning Singers to Swing Dancers to Unicyclists, there's something for everyone. Just ask us about it.
The "Applaud Squad" is the Outlook Student Council. Made up of  fifth grade students (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Representatives), the council helps build moral around the school and supports the many programs at Outlook. Students campaign in May of every year for the positions and the fourth grade votes on who will get to represent them. The Applaud Squad also creates the Outlook Radio Show each month.
Morning Meeting is a program that allows students voice and choice in a safe setting and is part of our overall behavior prevention program. All newly hired staff are required to do Morning Meeting. We have dedicated the first 20 minutes of our day to do this program. Our program is based largely on the book, Morning Meeting. Having done it now for three years, it's a program that has helped the culture of our school and given children an opportunity to share about their lives.
